To ensure a safe environment for all members and guests, players are strongly encouraged to follow these safety guidelines and court etiquette:
Pickleball involves rapid direction changes and explosive movements. Players should complete a thorough warm-up and stretching routine prior to stepping onto the court to help reduce the risk of muscle strains, joint injuries, or other physical exertion issues.
For your personal safety and court protection, players should wear proper indoor court shoes (such as badminton or court-specific shoes) with non-marking soles. Running shoes or casual trainers are not recommended as they lack lateral support, which can increase the risk of slips and ankle injuries.
To prevent trips, collisions, and sudden falls on court:
Players should be aware that fast-moving balls and paddles carry an inherent risk of eye injury. Members who wish to wear protective court eyewear are welcome and encouraged to do so at their own discretion.
Members assume personal responsibility for ensuring they are physically fit and medically able to participate. Players are advised to consult a doctor if they have pre-existing conditions, heart concerns, or physical limitations.
